Unless otherwise specified, each of the following matters was contested on liability and/or damages, the opposing parties were represented, the matters involved complex legal and/or factual issues, and the law firm was successful in collecting the amounts stated. Tractor-Trailer and Commercial Motor Vehicle Accidents

• $2,200,000.00 - Commercial Motor Vehicle Accident
  Settlement for clients injured in a collision with a dump truck that turned in front of clients’ vehicle. The trucking company was sued for, among other things, negligent hiring or retention of the dump truck driver (Mecklenburg County, 1999).
   
• $1,600,000.00 - Tractor-Trailer Accident
  Settlement for client who sustained a severe hip injury in a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer (Mecklenburg County, 2003).
  
  
• $944,854.51 - Tractor-Trailer Accident
  Settlement for client who suffered a leg amputation in a collision with a tractor-trailer (Mecklenburg County, 2000).
  
  
• $700,000.00 - Tractor-Trailer Accident
  Settlement for client who sustained a left arm nerve injury in a collision with a tractor-trailer (U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, 2004)
  
  
• $675,000.00 - Tractor-Trailer Accident
  Settlement for client who sustained lower extremity fractures when her legs were run over by the rear wheel of a trailer. Client was riding a motorcycle and laid down her motorcycle to avoid colliding into a tractor-trailer that negligently moved into her lane of travel (Mecklenburg County, 2006).
  
  
• $430,893.00 - Commercial Motor Vehicle Accident
  Settlement for client who sustained a head injury in a T-bone accident with a commercial motor vehicle (Mecklenburg County, 1999).
  

• $275,000.00 - Tractor-Trailer Accident
  Settlement for client who suffered a shoulder injury requiring surgery due to a collision with a tractor-trailer (Mecklenburg County, 1998).
